We are not losing elections in Wisconsin because of fraud. We are losing based on turnout.
We know there is a surge in hate activity and we know college campuses are being targeted. It doesn’t seem like some institutions are really paying enough attention to these trends and putting systems in place to inform the students and faculty, of potential threats before they show up at their campus door.
Parental choice and parental guidance are essential.
Pass Medicaid expansion, with $ billions of federal funding to increase inadequate Medicaid reimbursement rates to help struggling rural hospitals. A win for rural areas, help for small towns whose residents work for hospitals and coverage for 90,000 Wisconsinites (probably more).
Support for Senate Bill 1869, the Site-Based Invoicing and Transparency Enhancement (SITE) Act, will be critical in saving money and ending “dishonest billing” practices from corporate-owned hospitals.
The great inflation of 2021/22 appears to be over and better days might on the horizon.
Trump has become the Typhoid Mary of Broken Moral Compass syndrome.
Whether Trump cribbed the notion from Hitler or whether it was an original thought, a person has to draw from a putrid internal cesspool of hate to think it, much less say it.
Well, now that Donald Trump has completed New Hampshire, I predict that he will run the gauntlet. For the first time in recent history, he’ll likely win every caucus and primary going forward, which would be historic.
Reckless driving has become an epidemic, not just here but throughout the country.
The closure of its signature brewery could have sunk Potosi, but it refused to become another ghost town.
There was an obvious statewide solution to the enrollment challenge at all of the state’s two-year colleges, including its 16 technical colleges. A Washington County task force proposed a consolidation of the two-year liberal arts and technical colleges.
At 17 weeks pregnant, I learned that my baby had a rare chromosomal abnormality. If she survived to term, she would have mere hours to live and would only suffer. The diagnosis also meant carrying the pregnancy to term would put my health and fertility at risk.
Biden’s got trouble in 2024: President Biden is in trouble. Recent polls in Georgia and Michigan show the current president down to former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head matchup this November.

It may seem like there’s little to cheer, but these leaders and activists can show us how to keep fighting the good fight in what promises to be a challenging 2024.
Wisconsin Democrats may be overplaying their hand on redistricting. Twice in the last few months Republicans have handed them what they’ve wanted and they turned them down in both cases.
But if legislative district maps need to be redrawn, so too do Wisconsin’s congressional district maps. Indeed, the congressional redraw is more urgent than the legislative fix.
Wisconsin’s Parental Choice Program, expanded statewide in 2013 after starting over 30 years ago in Milwaukee as the first program of its kind nationwide, has been a beacon of light for thousands who seek relief from the progressive mantra and control of the public school system.
Taxpayers should refuse to support any Right of First Refusal law or any politician who introduces one. If they don’t believe in competition for utility companies, maybe it’s time they face some competition in primary races to remind them who in Wisconsin they actually serve.
