Months before voters narrowly approved $252 million in extra spending by Milwaukee public schools, the WI Department of Instruction was concerned that the state’s largest school district was cooking its books.

As the nation participates in and observes Gay Pride Month it is important to look back and consider how we landed at a time when gay rights have made such strong and positive gains in society.

Hamas’s Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel has sparked an alarming resurgence of antisemitism on college campuses across the country. As discussions on this growing threat continue, it is important to recognize the double standard that exists when it comes to addressing antisemitism.

An unprecedented legal maneuver from the Biden administration could dramatically curtail investment in critical sectors like artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and the life sciences.

Since then, labor relations in Wisconsin have moved forward in a positive direction and Wisconsin’s Budgets have reflected fiscal responsibility.

Milwaukee Public Schools Superintendent Keith Posley should be terminated over the district’s failure to submit financial reports to the state, but the repercussions should not end there.

For years some people in New York City who knew Donald Trump said that based on his lack of ethics in both business and his personal life he should not have sought the Republican Party nomination. Trump would not fare well, they said, with every aspect of his life under the microscope.

Last weekend, Donald Trump spent his limited free time on the trail courting the gun lobby – delivering the keynote speech at the NRA’s annual meeting in Dallas, Texas. This is no surprise.

There has been much discussion recently from some politicians about banning Delta-8 and other hemp products. The concerns arise from rising use of teens getting sick from using too much hemp and mixing it with other substances, for the purpose of intoxication.

HAL was the artificially intelligent (and authentically diabolical) computer in 1968’s landmark film “2001: A Space Odyssey.” Despite his/its programmed politeness, HAL, uh … let’s just say HAL had some flaws.

Apparently it isn’t enough for Donald Trump’s cultists to declare that an American election was crooked and stolen from the man they worship as an idol. Now the American judicial system and a trial by a jury is rigged, too.

Immediately after his historically unprecedented conviction on 34 charges of falsifying business records, Donald J. Trump tried Thursday to suggest that the jury’s decision was an affront to democracy.

“How bad are things that MPS? Only 40% of MPS sophomores are proficient at reading and less than 30% are proficient at math. And the graduation rate and MPS is abysmal. Obviously what MPS has been doing is not working. So why has DPI ignored the problems of MPS? Why can’t the Superintendent and her deputies take a leadership role?”
