Thirteen years ago, 2011 Act 10 was signed into law. At that time there was much angst and opposition to this legislation. Without reform, Wisconsin was headed for a $3 billion annual budget deficit. Since then, labor relations in Wisconsin have moved forward in a positive direction and Wisconsin’s Budgets have reflected fiscal responsibility.

Milwaukee Public Schools Superintendent Keith Posley should be terminated over the district’s failure to submit financial reports to the state, but the repercussions should not end there.

Blaska promised to smell the roses. That day came this morning when The Lovely Lisa placed in a slender silver vase (“vahse”) a single pink rose right where your irascible bloggeur could not miss it — that being in front of his battered computer keyboard. There has been much discussion recently from some politicians about banning Delta-8 and other hemp products. The concerns arise from rising use of teens getting sick from using too much hemp and mixing it with other substances, for the purpose of intoxication.

HAL was the artificially intelligent (and authentically diabolical) computer in 1968’s landmark film “2001: A Space Odyssey.” Despite his/its programmed politeness, HAL, uh … let’s just say HAL had some flaws.

Apparently it isn’t enough for Donald Trump’s cultists to declare that an American election was crooked and stolen from the man they worship as an idol. Now the American judicial system and a trial by a jury is rigged, too.

Immediately after his historically unprecedented conviction on 34 charges of falsifying business records, Donald J. Trump tried Thursday to suggest that the jury’s decision was an affront to democracy.

“How bad are things that MPS? Only 40% of MPS sophomores are proficient at reading and less than 30% are proficient at math. And the graduation rate and MPS is abysmal. Obviously what MPS has been doing is not working. So why has DPI ignored the problems of MPS? Why can’t the Superintendent and her deputies take a leadership role?”

Trump was convicted on all 34 counts: “In Scheme To Illegally Influence 2016 Election” (Washington Post – WP). He had falsified business records to conceal a “hush money” payment to buy a porn actress’s silence.
