I can and will vote for a school board member or a county treasurer or a governor or the president for hopefully the right reasons, and hopefully not for a singular issue or the D or R behind their name.
Instead of dismantling DEI, we should embrace its potential to create a more just and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. By fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, we can build stronger and more vibrant communities for all.
To safeguard a brighter future for our kids and grandkids, change at a societal level is necessary, and that begins with you and me.

The most amusing story to watch was the artful messaging by pro-choice advocates and the speed of conservatives who dashed to the nearest microphone to register their support for IVF.
I have now looked at the judge’s decision to impose a nearly $350 million fine on Trump and his sons and businesses. I have to say, the convoluted ‘route’ that the judge took to justify his decision is shocking.

Mark Jefferson is out as executive director of the Wisconsin Republican Party. Could be burnout … Could be electoral failure … It could be that Mr. Jefferson is not sufficiently MAGA.

The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County got permission from the state to increase sales taxes as part of a deal that included putting 25 police officers back in crime-ridden schools. The city and the school district were supposed to share the approximately $2 million cost. Eight months later, there are still no cops.
Freedom, democracy and journalism all go hand in hand. None can survive if one dies. Death need not be their destiny, if enough of us step up. Deserts can be reclaimed.
