The U.S. Supreme Court’s decisions last Thursday to overturn almost 50 years of precedent and to strike down the ability of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and other colleges and universities to employ race-conscious admissions policies was widely anticipated.
Or about $700,000 if Scott Manske is not reelected for another four years.
To help prevent additional tragic deaths by suicide of our service men and women, I introduced the Warrior Call Day Resolution, which would establish November 12, 2023, the Sunday after Veterans Day, as Warrior Call Day.
The issue of abortion and a woman’s right to choose isn’t going away in Wisconsin and many other states with restrictive laws on the books.
The narrative that third-party candidates act as “spoilers” in elections, drawing votes away from major party candidates, is a more complex issue than it initially appears.
I am proud of this bill and hope the Governor recognizes this budget reflects the needs, values, and priorities of Wisconsin by signing it into law.
The notion that we need a “colorblind” society or race neutral policies is errant. It is linear and is a passive way of telling minorities to “move on” and forget about the historic inequities that still exist in our society.
We have a classically liberal Supreme Court. In three and a half major cases this term SCOTUS’ decisions made America better.
The WDP has an impressive track record, winning almost all statewide races while losing a few by tiny margins. This is critical as Wisconsin Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin is running for reelection in 2024.
If election were held today, Biden would win Wisconsin.
Because of inaction, you might have to get used to it.
Immigrants do make America great.

With such a massive document, it’s easy to get lost in the details. As such, I decided to share a list of the top 10 worst things that made it into the final Republican budget.
Wisconsinites clearly got some wins in the 2023-2025 biennel budget. Now the task at hand is consolidate and expand those moving forward.
How will Evers respond?
There’s much to like in these newly enacted measures, particularly surrounding school choice. A few exceptions, but I’ll take this as a step mirroring the state motto, “Forward.”
What goes around comes around. State Senate Republicans are just learning that lesson now.
I wonder if the geniuses in the state Legislature — you know the ones who know how to run everyone’s business except their own — saw the news out of Lordstown, Ohio, this week?
That reality slapped us full in the face a couple weekends ago at the Wisconsin Republican Convention in beautiful La Crosse.
