Over and over, throughout 13 years of holding a gerrymandered majority, Republicans have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they are not looking out for hardworking, ordinary Wisconsinites.

Our $4.4 billion tax cut is the largest tax cut in the history of our state. This massive tax cut adds the frosting to a budget that meets all of our obligations and funds our priorities.

For state legislators who have made more than their fair share of mistakes through the years to complain about Milwaukee takes a big dose of chutzpah.

Tony Evers has put himself into a corner. This is his third budget process and it has produced the best one so far from his perspective.

The record-breaking $7 billion state budget surplus could easily cover the cost of restoring Wisconsin public school funding, which hasn’t kept pace with inflation for the last 14 years.

DEI programming is essential to strengthen our campuses across the state.

It was only 15-25 years ago that economic development was far and away the biggest political issue in Wisconsin.

Last year, Medicare issued an unprecedented policy that placed restrictions on monoclonal antibodies to require patients to be enrolled in either a randomized clinical trial or a prospective comparative study to receive the FDA-approved treatments.

I would urge candidates to take this battle directly into the heart of conservative counties and challenge this issue on the very doorstep of the GOP.

So when is breaking the law and not following the state statutes OK? If you’re a Milwaukee Democrat.

Even with this tax cut, the current budget proposals still increase state spending by at least 10% over the previous budget. That is an abomination that explains why taxes will not be reduced further.

It would have been wasteful to spend $750 million of state money when it was widely known even before yesterday’s official announcement that the state was in line to get even more than that from the feds.

The low number of Black students graduating with a bachelor’s degree at UW-Madison is a travesty — and, despite an enormous DEI bureaucracy, it’s not getting better.

Equity component of plan would create jobs for those that need them most.

Today, students are talking about fossil fuel divestment and the environment. More than 30 years ago, my fellow students and I were talking about divestment that impacted the very freedoms of Black and Brown people.

Today the left is better represented on city councils, county boards and school boards, in state legislatures and in Congress than at any time in modern history.
