The Wisconsin draft wolf management plan reflects a much smarter and balanced path forward with wolves in Wisconsin. Let’s move Wisconsin forward with wolves, not backward.

My vision is for Milwaukee County to go far on its journey to achieve race and health equity, but that vision can’t be realized without dedicated partners by our side.

Ryan, while well-intentioned and always principled, may be facing a losing battle. Because I’m afraid that when it comes to Fox — and perhaps the GOP at large — the conservatism has left the building.

Given my intimate friendship with Tony, my reflections have less to do with his esteemed accomplishments and more to do with his character and values, qualities that made his achievements possible—his inner means paving the way for his progressive ends.

While Fox News was repeatedly broadcasting the lie that Trump had been cheated of victory, off the air it’s stars, producers and executives were expressing contempt for those same conspiracies, calling them “mind-blowingly nuts,” “totally off the rails” and “completely bs.”

This year, in the governor’s proposed budget, he is proposing to stop any new student trying to enroll in choice programs. This would leave thousands of students who need an alternative on the waitlist.

I’d like to change the agenda in a way that represents the economic interests of the citizens as opposed to corporations. So I’m proposing a different survey: Perceptions of Economic Opportunity.

Using federal dollars, the Wisconsin Child Care Counts program sent monthly payments to over 3,300 providers in Wisconsin to stay open, recruit and retain qualified staff, and provide care to over 113,000 children statewide.

It’s time to put the Stewardship Fund permanently out to pasture.

State representatives from the Latino Caucus are collecting co-sponsors to proclaim March 31st as César Chavez Day.

Kelly is a poor lawyer who lacks any sense of temperament. The Wisconsin Supreme Court, and the people of Wisconsin, deserve better.

As the sun sets on Jimmy Carter’s long life, it’s worth some contemplation on what passes for leadership.

Which is strange because the state high court will probably never rule on such cases.

Protasiewicz’s approach to the law is to use her position as a means to reach outcomes that align with her personal values and convictions irrespective of what the law actually says. It is the kind of judicial activism that obliterates the Rule of Law.

If Daniel Kelly were elected, the future of democracy in Wisconsin would be at risk. That’s not a chance any of us should be willing to take.

As the month ends, I realize that Black history is every day, and that because of our elders who experienced what we read about in history books we have the opportunity to hear and ask questions about their lived experiences.

We must teach history completely to students in our public schools. The good, the bad, and yes, even the ugly. History matters.

Guaranteed income would have a much bigger bang for the buck in terms of broader benefits to society.
