A recent history of the state’s social spending Leviathan

We are beginning to experience four convergent crises: a high level of xenophobia, divergent population trends, a rising world temperature and massive waves of migration. How can we avoid a catastrophic collision of these crises?

It’s time for the media to stop catering to Milwaukee’s abysmal leadership and make them answer for decades of poor decisions.

We’ve already gone far enough in Wisconsin. It’s time to shut the door and keep it closed.

Thanks to a Supreme Court ruling and a DNR freed of the bonds it was shackled with in the Walker area, maybe the scales have tipped a bit in the direction of citizens.

Wisconsin electricity customers—who are prohibited by Wisconsin law from shopping around for another electricity provider— are suffering from the higher prices caused by the policies enacted by “progressive” regulators, extreme environmental groups, and monopoly utilities who are laughing all the way to the bank, but it doesn’t have to be this way.

Amid a sustained outcry from frustrated occupational license seekers and a statewide worker shortage, Wisconsin lawmakers are advancing a universal recognition licensure bill and nearly a dozen more narrowly targeted reforms that would finally help remedy longtime bureaucratic dysfunction and over-regulation.

“Self-care” is more than a buzzword or a trip to the local spa, taking time out for oneself can be both an act of indulgence and a form of survival.

The operatives running them have connections to Scott Walker, Eric O’Keefe, and conservative groups.

If politicians put extreme views first, vote them out of office.

Shaming the federal and state governments and institutions to act for a better outcome has proved to be effective. How might leaders in our nation now arouse a sense of shame to counter the growing absurd behavior from the likes of Trump, Santos, and the far extremes in our politics?

We stand at a historical moment for the future of our region. The consequences of doing nothing would be devastating for Milwaukee County. The time is now for a long-term fix.

The ornamental conservative policies being hung on the bill are a glittery distraction from the abysmal spending and opening the floodgates for local tax increases.

Costs have risen 15% in the past two years. It is harder for families to afford the things that they need. I am working every day to lower costs and protect you and your family.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. By order of a joint resolution passed by the Wisconsin Legislature last week, it’s also Law Enforcement Appreciation Month. But don’t think for a minute that now is the time to bring those two topics together and try to do something to stop people in the grip of a mental health crisis from shooting police officers.
