The Madison civil rights leader says white people should ask how young white men become radicalized rather than how Black people feel about the shooting.

School is supposed to be a safe place for our children to learn and grow. Instead, we fight about critical race theory, books people don’t want our children to read, and many other topics EXCEPT safety in our schools. God forbid we address that.

With America’s 120.5 to 100 gun-to-resident ratio, with guns now the leading killer of our children, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with state legislators more focused on bathroom bills, abortion and (nonexistent) voter fraud than on gun safety, maybe sheer dumb luck is the only thing standing between any one of us and gun violence.

Nearly 27,000 Wisconsinites have given their lives on battlefields around the world, and we honor them with our thoughts, prayers, and tributes. This Memorial Day, however, I would like to also draw attention to the casualties that occur off the battlefield – the veterans who fall to suicide.

We must never forget those who died so that we never make that mistake again.

This Memorial Day, remember those who gave all, by seeking the unity required to leave a strong and free nation for our children and grandchildren.

Wisconsin lawmakers are expressing frustration and condemnation of the Evers administration following a report showing the state Veterans Home at Union Grove is one of the most troubled veterans nursing facilities in the nation.

Having the RNC in Milwaukee is a disaster waiting to happen.

Dean Knudson deserves praise for telling the truth about the November 2020 elections.

Now is the time to speak up for Wisconsin seniors so the health care coverage they need under Medicare Part D is fully covered in the future through the Protecting Seniors Through Immunization Act.

As long as guns remain a senseless symbol of freedom to millions of rabid gun owners, nothing will change. This will happen again.

A cliché more worthless than ‘thoughts and prayers’

Each county must enact its own ban on private spending on elections administration.

It will raise the city’s profile.

Despite a shortage of health care providers, which will only get worse in the next couple of years, Gov. Tony Evers vetoed bipartisan legislation that would have allowed well-educated advanced practice registered nurses to work to the full extent of their education, training and certification.

The Institute for Reforming Government offers a plan to help the wealthy.

The issue arises anew after Milwaukee school board members give themselves a raise.

A long-dead casino project in Kenosha is being resurrected by the Florida Indian tribe that partnered on a similar proposal nearly a decade ago, Capitol sources tell Empower Wisconsin.
