Milwaukee teachers union tries to kill competition … The union representing MPS teachers, successfully blocked a vote by the Milwaukee Board of School Directors to approve Milwaukee Excellence’s five-year lease of an MPS building needed to accommodate the school’s growth.

While lawmakers will be busy crisscrossing their districts this month — including visits to farms, hopefully — a number of dairy-related items will be waiting for their return to Washington.

There don’t appear to be any standards left, and if there are, few voters seem to care about them.

Both sides—Republican legislators and the Peoples Maps Commission created by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers—could have their own maps drawn for an October or November showdown in the Capitol.

A liberal Dane County judge’s power push to force a former Public Service Commission member to turn over his cellphone and other records to environmental groups has been stopped — at least for now.

It’s scary to be a Republican these days.

Without an elder statesman of the Republican Party at this juncture, however, given Scott Walker was defeated and Paul Ryan retired, means Wisconsin’s GOP would be in a bind should Johnson see the election writing on the wall and depart, too.

Those that want us to forget the past and ignore the present injustices have weaponized terms like “Black Lives Matter,” “Defunding the Police,” and now “Critical Race Theory,” because they have no real tools to prove systemic racism is not real.

His Midwest upbringing taught him love of country, fellow Americans.

Tree planting and protection not only satisfies the planter but is recognized to be profoundly important at this moment of climate crisis.

If you are not rich, Trump and other Republicans did nothing to improve your life. But at least they attacked the people you don’t care for — uppity women, people of color and liberals. If that message continues to sell, the GOP will just be happy to continue to sell it.

The bipartisan infrastructure bill will send billions to Wisconsin to repair and rebuild our antiquated deteriorated infrastructure.

Five years after four separate and independent investigations cleared former Wauwatosa Police officer Joseph Mensah of any wrongdoing in the shooting death of Jay Anderson, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Glenn Yamahiro ruled that there was probable cause to charge Mensah with homicide by reckless use of a firearm.

While there may not be anyone living today that was responsible for the institution of slavery, there are many alive who have benefited from the chattel bondage that is the very foundation that this country is built upon.

Unlike Trump, Ryan has a keen understanding of constitutionality and the rules of Congress – assets for any president.
