Hyperbole in politics is as common as spokesmen making bad jokes. But Dahmer’s murders took place 30 years ago. I think we can dispense with the spoiler alerts and stop asking if it’s too soon for an edgy remark or two.

Carrie Lee, who died Monday at age 98, was, as Gaylord Nelson’s biographer Bill Christofferson recalled, an “independent, irreverent, outgoing and strong-willed” woman who “became a political wife on her own terms and carved out a role that suited her.”

In three instances, Wisconsin Republicans demonstrated the proper response to false racism allegations—to immediately and forcefully respond and to refuse to accept the premise that a racially neutral statement is at all racist in nature.

Just when you thought Sen. Ron Johnson had to be the most shameful official Wisconsinites could possibly send to Washington, along comes Rep. Glenn Grothman.

I can say with certainty that no one with any power to do so is attempting to silence Johnson — or any other Republican politician who possesses this particular persecution complex.

The proposal doesn’t learn from history and contradicts the approach of Biden, Buttigieg.

Wisconsin remains the only Midwestern state and one of only twelve nationwide who have not yet accepted Medicaid expansion. Enough is enough.

Now is the best of times for people in Wisconsin who are looking for good-paying manufacturing jobs.

They twisted what I said about Jan. 6 because they want Americans to forget last summer’s violence and destruction.

Why all the conspiracy theories? It’s Ron Johnson’s calculated reelection strategy.

State bill seeks to punish those that defund police.

Some of the governor’s budget proposals to help low-income families are ineffective, ripe for abuse or better left to the private sector.

It’s long past time to erect a Vel Phillips statue on the Square. She should be but the first.

For a decade or more Democrats have been counting on a demographic tsunami to sweep them to a long-term majority. It might just sweep them out to sea instead.

The answer for real recovery is not more big government. Instead, we need real reform. And we need the courage to fight for it.
