Elon Musk is dangerous. He’s operating as an unelected government official, making national decisions behind closed doors. He’s recklessly gutting federal agencies, firing government workers without cause, and obstructing delivery of critical services.
Musk is stealing sensitive government data – individuals’ tax returns, bank accounts, medical records, Social Security numbers and more – with no oversight and no transparency about how he’s going to use them. And he’s doing all this to serve his own financial interests – cancelling government contracts and funneling the work to his own enterprises.
Musk bought Donald Trump, donating $288 million to his presidential campaign. Now Musk is interfering in the election for Wisconsin Supreme Court, donating $2.3 million to Brad Schimel to buy undue influence if he wins. Schimel wants to enforce an 1849 abortion ban with no exceptions and sat on more than 6,000 rape evidence kits for years when he was attorney general. Progressive opponent, Susan Crawford, won’t be influenced by a loyalty pledge.
Musk’s stake in Tesla is his primary wealth generator, currently worth $161 billion. Hurting Tesla sales and stock means hurting the only thing Musk really cares about – his bottom line.
At this Tesla Takedown, protesters will carry signs “Musk Stole Our Data,” and the Raging Grannies, in costume, will sing protest songs.
