Dan Kohl, former senator’s nephew, seeks to take on Grothman next year

The nephew of former U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl announced on Twitter today that he’s planning on running for U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman’s seat next year. In a tweet this morning, Daniel Kohl wrote, “In this case the rumors are true! I’m running for Congress in Wisconsin’s 6th CD!” A source in March told WisPolitics.com that Kohl was considering a bid. Kohl has been working for J Street, which bills itself as The Political Home for Pro-Israel, Pro-Peace Americans, in the Washington, D.C., area. Grothman, R-Glenbeulah, won his seat in 2014.
