MADISON – Dana Wachs, Democratic candidate for Governor, released the following statement on potential legislation that would remove wetlands protections. “This proposed bill is hazardous to Wisconsin’s environment,” said Wachs. “It’s damaging to the state’s hunters and fishermen and puts us on a path to destroy one of the many things that make Wisconsin great. “Coupled with the disastrous environmental impacts of the Foxconn deal, it’s clear that Scott Walker has no regard for protecting our environment.”

Walker to formally launch re-election bid Nov. 5

Gov. Scott Walker will formally announce his re-election bid Nov. 5 in Waukesha with more than a dozen stops around the state in the days to follow, his campaign said today.
