Three new candidates emerge for 10th SD ahead of nomination paper filing deadline

Three new candidates have emerged to run for the seat formerly held by Republican Sheila Harsdorf ahead of the nomination paper filing deadline Tuesday. But two of them appears short of the required signatures to qualify for the ballot. Among the new candidates are Dem John Rocco Calabrese, of Glenwood City. The final two, Libertarian Brian Corriea, of Wilson, and Republican Ken Rimer, of Hammond, logged only 393 and 389 signatures, respectively, with their nomination papers, short of the 400 needed to run for state Senate.
