Gov. Scott Walker said today he would provide the UW System additional state aid to cover his proposed tuition cuts for resident undergrads.
Walker declined to say during a Milwaukee news conference as part of his post-State of the State swing across Wisconsin how large the proposed tuition cut would be, but he called it "significant."
"Just the fact that we're doing a cut, I think makes us competitive," Walker said, noting for the past four years in-state undergraduate tuition has been frozen.
