Milwaukee, Wisconsin – James Davies announced his campaign for 8th District County Supervisor today, advocating for increased public safety, a sustainable funding plan for the county parks, as well as increased economic opportunity and county collaboration.

“The South Shore deserves a strong advocate on the County Board. The communities of St. Francis, Oak Creek, South Milwaukee and Cudahy have incredible parks, friendly people and downtowns at the cusp of massive revitalization. We need the County to work with our local governments to ensure that our streets are safe for people to walk, bike and drive. The Milwaukee County Park System is second to none, and I want it to be here for my daughter and her children. For this to happen, we need a sustainable funding plan for our parks. The County also needs to do what it can to attract new, sustainable and diverse businesses. Finally, we need to ensure that our public transit system is prioritized and well maintained.”

James was born and raised in Southeastern Wisconsin, attended the University of Wisconsin Madison and received his law degree from the University of Florida. Since moving to South Milwaukee, he’s fallen in love with the South Shore communities and is involved with Growing South Milwaukee, an initiative working to bring a community garden to South Milwaukee. James is happily married to his wife Stephanie. Stephanie was born in Cudahy and is a public high school teacher. Together, they have a 2 ½ year-old daughter. James is the Senior Director of Operations and Planning for Bublr Bikes, Milwaukee’s nonprofit bikeshare system, and volunteers at the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic.
