Apprenticeship Week features open houses, presentations and tours aimed at increasing awareness of trade opportunities in Wisconsin

MADISON – Governor Walker has proclaimed November 12-18, 2017 as Apprenticeship Week in Wisconsin, in conjunction with National Apprenticeship Week, to recognize the in-demand skills, self-sufficiency and family-supporting jobs that accompany an apprenticeship program.

Throughout the week, many construction apprenticeship training centers across Wisconsin will be opening their doors for open houses, presentations and tours aimed at increasing awareness of the opportunities in Wisconsin’s construction industry.

Governor Walker has also proclaimed November 15, 2017 as Construction Training Day to draw special attention to Wisconsin’s construction industry during National Apprenticeship Week.
