RACINE, WISCONSIN — On Monday, November 27th, participants in the Emancipation Ride: Protect the Dream, will make a stop at US Speaker of the House Paul Ryan’s Racine office to urge Speaker Ryan to support the clean Dream Act. The Emancipation Riders are travelling from Minnesota to Washington, D.C. for a day of action in support of the Dream Act.

Constituents of Speaker Ryan who are members of Youth Empowered in the Struggle and Racine Interfaith Coalition will join Emancipation Riders to rally at 3:30pm Monday and call on Ryan to pass a clean Dream Act providing a path to citizenship for immigrant youth, with no measures to build a bigoted border wall, further militarize border communities, or increase deportations and the separation of families.

Voces de la Frontera is mobilizing two buses from Wisconsin to go to Washington on December 6th for massive nationwide protests demanding the clean Dream Act be included in federal spending legislation.
