GOP omnibus motion seeks to modify work requirements for food stamp recipients with children

A GOP omnibus motion on the Department of Health Services that would modify the guv’s call to require able-bodied adults with school-aged children to meet work requirements to remain eligible for food stamps.
The motion also would approve re-estimates of general purpose revenue costs for some Medicaid programs. That includes $95.6 million less into Medicaid with $50 million set aside in JFC’s program supplements appropriation and $9.3 million less for SeniorCare, the state’s prescription drug program.
