Madison, Wisconsin – Governor Scott Walker today issued Executive Order #262 which calls a special election for the 58th Assembly District following the passing of the Honorable Robert Gannon.
Governor Walker ordered the special election to be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. If necessary, a primary will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
Circulation of nomination papers for candidates may begin today, Wednesday, November 1. Nomination papers must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.
