West Allis, Wisconsin – Governor Scott Walker, joined by U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, kicked off the 2017 Wisconsin State Fair today in a ceremony at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis. The fair begins today and runs through August 13, 2017.

“The Wisconsin State Fair brings people together to enjoy the best of the best when it comes to Wisconsin Fun,” said Governor Walker.  “It’s fun and affordable for the whole family. With 30 stages of free entertainment and activities, special events every day, livestock auctions and shows, delicious food, great music, and fun rides, everyone is sure to find something they’ll love at the Wisconsin State Fair this year.”

The Wisconsin State Fair hours are from 8 a.m. – 11p.m. Sunday through Thursday8 a.m. – 12 a.m. Fridayand Saturday; and 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. on the final Sunday of the fair. For more information about the 2017 Wisconsin State Fair, please visit their website at http://wistatefair.com/fair/.

To celebrate this year’s Wisconsin State Fair, Governor Walker has issued a proclamation declaring August 3- August 13, 2017, as “State Fair Days” throughout the state. A copy of the proclamation is attached.
