MADISON – Governor Scott Walker released his Weekly Radio Address today titled “Happy Thanksgiving.”

Hi, Scott Walker here.

Tonette, Matt, Alex and I wish you and your family a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

Since before our nation’s founding, Thanksgiving has been a time of friends and family gathering together, enjoying each other’s company, eating good food, and reflecting on the many blessings in our lives we may take for granted.

As you spend time with those you love most, passing your turkey and hopefully some Wisconsin cranberries around the table, we hope you’ll take the opportunity to thank our service members, who may not get to spend Thanksgiving with their families this year. Today, and every day, we’re thankful for our men and women in uniform for the selfless work they do around the clock to defend our freedoms.

I’m also thankful for the love and support of my family, and for our health and happiness. And I’m especially thankful for the opportunity to serve the people of Wisconsin as your Governor.

We hope this Thanksgiving brings joy to you and your loved ones. Have fun, travel safe, and feel free to grab that extra slice of pie.

Happy Thanksgiving!
