Hogs for Heroes is now accepting applications to gift a cycle to a deserving Wisconsin Veteran.

Hogs for Heroes is a Wisconsin nonprofit dedicated to healing the mental and physical wounds suffered by our Wisconsin Veterans during the course of active duty, through the therapeutic benefits of owning and riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The application period for Wisconsin veterans opens February 20 and runs through April 1, 2017. Veterans should learn more about eligibility and apply at www.hogsforheroeswi.org.

“Hogs for Heroes is truly a grassroots organization. Through fundraisers, bike nights
and everyday Wisconsinites donating their time and money, we are now able to accept applications and award our third Harley-Davidson to a Wisconsin Veteran Hero,” said Kevin Thompson, Hogs for Heroes President and Founder. “All along, it’s been our goal to award one bike at a time and recognize one hero at a time. We have been able to make the rough road a little smoother for two returning Wisconsin Heroes already, while conveying a collective message of gratitude for their service contributions.”

He continued, “We encourage people to share this information with family and friends and help us find our third deserving Wisconsin Military Veteran to receive a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.”

Hogs for Heroes was founded in 2015 in Madison, Wisconsin by Kevin and Audra Thompson, along with his brother and sister-in-law Craig and Michelle Thompson, with the belief that there is a long-standing tie between our military, its service members and the benefits of motorcycle riding.

Fundraising is underway for the next Harley-Davidson for a Wisconsin Veteran and donations can be made online on the Hogs for Heroes website. Additional information on the organization, as well as all application materials, can also be found on the site at www.hogsforheroeswi.org. Be sure to follow on Facebook (Hogs for Heroes) and
