Kooyenga looks to start conversation on future of tuition

Rep. Dale Kooyenga says his suggestion that the state let UW raise tuition to keep up with inflation or household income increases is aimed at starting a conversation about a sustainable tuition policy.
Kooyenga, R-Brookfield, is the latest in the Legislature to raise concerns over Gov. Scott Walker's proposed tuition cut. Walker's budget would continue the tuition freeze for in-state undergrads for another year and then cut tuition by 5 percent the following year.
