Laura Lau, a candidate for Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Branch 12, has announced endorsements from Waukesha County District Attorney, Sue Opper, and Waukesha County Sheriff, Eric Severson.
Lau is endorsed by The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department Union and former Waukesha County Sheriff’s Arnold Moncada and Dan Trawicki. She is also endorsed by former District Attorney, Paul Bucher.
Laura Lau was appointed to the judicial position of Circuit Court Commissioner in 2001 by Judge Kathryn Foster. She has presided over more than 20,000 cases in all court divisions including civil, criminal, family, juvenile, and probate. Prior to her appointment as a Court Commissioner, Lau was in private practice for 13 years. Lau is the co-author of the State Bar of Wisconsin Publication, “Family Law Casenotes and Quotes”. In addition to her contributions to the legal community, Lau has served on boards for community organizations including NAMI-Waukesha, Parents Place, Chosen, Inc., The Women’s Center, and ProHealth Care VNA/Hospice.
