Marchers Prepare for Rally for Truth, Launch Crowdfunding Project

MADISON, May 23, 2017 – Local activists are preparing for the Rally for Truth, which will
be held at the State Capitol in Madison on June 3, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Rally
organizers, which include the Wisconsin Progressive Alliance
(, Indivisible Madison
(, and Rock County Progressives
(, seek to address issues related to President Trump’s
campaign and restore faith in the U.S. government.

Rally organizers have launched a crowdfunding project to help defray the costs of the Rally.
Their project is available on Grassrooter (, an early-stage
crowdfunding platform. Grassrooter’s Founder and CEO Stephen Fraser noted, “The
Wisconsin Progressive Alliance’s project shows how all citizens can improve their
communities. Things as simple as gathering neighbors for a rally or creating a community
garden can be powerful. We hope Grassrooter will continue to be a resource for people
who want to make an impact.”

The Wisconsin Progressive Alliance focuses on organizing the grassroots community and
seeks to enhance coordination, education, and execution among activist groups. “We’re
excited to be working with Grassrooter and to reach new audiences for the upcoming
Rally,” the Alliance’s President, Derek Barsaleau, stated. “By bringing together our network
and Grassrooter, we think we will have the crowd and resources to make a powerful
statement at the Rally on June 3.”
