Milwaukee’s City Channel will go dark for all AT&T U-Verse customers for a matter of weeks while a critical piece of encoding equipment is repaired.

The City Channel carries Common Council proceedings and other city programming and is part of the Common Council – City Clerk’s Office. City Clerk Jim Owczarski said the temporary U-Verse service outage is unavoidable while the equipment is being repaired, but there are other ways for U-Verse users to view City Channel programming.

“The City Channel is also available (streaming) online via the city website (city.milwaukee.gov/Channel25) or on Spectrum,” Mr. Owczarski said. “The U-Verse outage is regrettable and we hope to have the equipment back up as soon as possible.”

City Channel programming is carried live on the City Channel (on Spectrum Channel 25 and on AT&T U-Verse Channel 99) in the City of Milwaukee. It can also be viewed via streaming live and pre-recorded video (archives) on the city website at www.city.milwaukee.gov/Channel25.
