Please join YOUR Milwaukee Professional Fire Fighters at this Press Conference denouncing the elimination of 75 Fire Fighters, 5 Front Line companies and the shuttering of 6 Fire Houses in the City of Milwaukee in Mayor Barrett’s 2018 proposed budget. These cuts, if approved, will mark the elimination of over 300 front line fire fighters from YOUR Fire Department since he took office 14 years ago.
Joining us in this opposition for the protection and safety of the citizens we care so deeply about will be over 200 Fire Fighters from around the State of Wisconsin to voice their concerns for the safety and well being of the constituency of Milwaukee. Alongside myself will be the President of the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin, President Mahlon Mitchell, who will also be expressing his concern for the safety of our community we serve and the fire fighters who serve them.
Alderman Robert Donovan, Committee Chairman of Public Safety, Alderman Tony Zielinski as well as Alderman Mark Borkowski – standing member of the Public Safety Committee as well.
