Janesville, WI – On Sunday, October 22nd, Cathy Myers will host the first public town hall meeting in over two years for voters in Wisconsin’s First Congressional District.

Cathy Myers, a 24-year high school English teacher and two-term Janesville School Board member, called the town hall on Monday after announcing her support for the impeachment of Donald Trump. “It is irresponsible and unethical to wait any longer for a better political moment to demand impeachment,” she said.

Myers hopes the town hall will provide everyone involved with a deeper understanding of the issue. “This is what democracy is all about. I look forward to learning from engaged voters and answering questions about my position. We will all walk away with a better understanding of this issue if everyone’s voice is heard.”

Sunday’s event will be the first public town hall meeting hosted by a candidate or representative of Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District in 747 days. Wisconsin Congressman Mark Pocan has hosted several WI-01 town halls in recent months, and Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego led a town hall in Racine earlier this month.

Cathy Myers’ town hall meeting on the impeachment of Donald Trump will take place on Sunday, October 22nd from 4-6 PM at the Red Oak Restaurant in Bristol, Wisconsin. A candidate meet and greet will immediately proceed the town hall beginning at 3:30 PM.
