Madison, Wisconsin – The following statement was released by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Wisconsin State Director, Bill G. Smith regarding Governor Walker’s signing Senate Bill 15 into law today:
NFIB members have consistently ranked the costly and hidden impact of regulations as a significant barrier to their ability to grow, hire and ultimately succeed. Senate Bill 15 that was signed into law today by Governor Walker recognizes that businesses, whether big or small, have the right to voice their concerns over regulations, policies, and administrative actions that impact their operation.
Today, Wisconsin small businesses received a clear message that Imposing costly and complicated regulatory burdens on individual businesses will not be tolerated and a new path for public comment and analysis was created. The Governor’s signature ensures that the future will hold greater certainty, transparency, and cost sensitivity to Wisconsin’s regulatory environment and for that we thank him.
