Madison, Wisconsin — In response to Governor Walker releasing his small business agenda today, the following statement may be attributed to National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Wisconsin State Director, Bill G. Smith:
Governor Walker continues to demonstrate through bold leadership that he not only understands the contribution of the small business community to our economy but truly values it as well. The agenda that was released today places emphasis on four pivotal factors that will help empower small employers to create additional jobs for Wisconsin.
By reducing business costs, ensuring the workforce is prepared, removing impediments to work, and attracting new talent to the state, existing small business owners will have the ability to hire qualified, educated workers and those considering starting a business will have confidence that our fiscal environment is sound and ripe for growth. We look forward to working with the Governor to assist in executing the plan and thank him for his continued dedication to small business owners.
