Strategic initiatives director will discuss opportunities for potential supply chain partners
NEW NORTH – A top representative from Foxconn Technology Group, the world’s largest electronics manufacturing service provider who is constructing a manufacturing campus in Mount Pleasant, Wis., has been added to program of the annual New North Summit, which takes place this Thursday (Dec. 7) at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay.
Alan Yeung, director of U.S. strategic initiatives for Foxconn, will introduce his company to the New North region and present on its approach to Wisconsin. An overview of a “Foxconn Day” for potential supply chain partners that would take place in the Green Bay area early in 2018 also will be provided.
“We are excited to offer those attending the Summit the opportunity to hear firsthand from Foxconn on how New North companies can get involved with this historic project in Wisconsin,” says Jerry Murphy, executive director of New North Inc. “We believe the information shared will be invaluable to those interested in working with Foxconn.”
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has estimated that Foxconn will spend $1.4 billion in supplier purchases from Wisconsin companies. Potential Foxconn suppliers already are able to create a free company profile using the Wisconsin Supply Chain Marketplace online tool at www.wisupplychainmarketplace.com.
