It took weeks of being pressured but Tammy Baldwin finally agreed to meet with President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Judge Gorsuch last night. Despite finding him “very smart” Tammy doubled down on her decision to block Judge Gorsuch’s nomination:

Her decision to block Judge Gorsuch puts her on the opposite side of the American people. A recent Fox News Poll says nearly half of voters would confirm Gorsuch.
“President Donald Trump nominated Judge Gorsuch to fill the vacancy created by Justice Antonin Scalia’s death…The new poll, released Wednesday, finds that by a 49-37 percent margin, voters would confirm Gorsuch.”
“Guess we shouldn’t be surprised that Tammy Baldwin has sided with her Washington Democrat leaders over Wisconsin families,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Only after being pressured did Tammy agree to meet with Judge Gorsuch, and now she is doubling down on her decision to block his nomination. It is this type of political grandstanding that Wisconsin voters rejected last November.”
