BROOKFIELD, WI. —Tom Palzewicz, a successful small business owner and U.S. Navy veteran, announced today he is launching a campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin’s 5th District.

“My campaign is going to be about helping more people achieve the American Dream,” said Palzewicz. “Whether it was tracking subs across the ocean, helping Wisconsin banks navigate Wall Street, or running my own business, I have learned that leadership is about service. I’m ready to serve.”

Palzewicz also released a video dedicated to his vision and the American Dream, and launched a website and social media pages. The video can be seen at TOMforWI.com.

“We need to come together, Republicans and Democrats, to solve problems, not just play politics and try to have our team win,” said Palzewicz. “I am running to win in a district that has traditionally voted Republican.”

Palzewicz co-owns the world’s top ActionCOACH franchise, a business he and his brother started in 2004. Working with his clients, he’s helped create thousands of good-paying jobs, including more than 500 in 2016 alone.

“Tom is a big reason my business is thriving and successful,” said Tina Chang, Chairman and CEO of SysLogic. “He understands how to help entrepreneurs succeed and draw out our best.”

“I am going to focus on healthcare solutions that include affordable coverage for all Americans, a real commitment to fighting climate change so our planet is here for our children and grandchildren, a solution to out-of-control student loan debt, and a plan to invest and grow our infrastructure to meet the needs of the 21st century,” said Palzewicz.

Palzewicz served for six years in the U.S. Navy as an enlisted electrician’s mate, servicing a nuclear reactor on a Skipjack-class submarine. After graduating with an accounting degree from UW-Milwaukee, he worked for Wisconsin banks in risk management.

“We need leaders committed to equality and dignity, ensuring that women have equal rights and receive equal pay, that immigrants are welcomed not rejected, that our LGBTQ brother and sisters are loved in our families, and that all our citizens are treated as we want to be treated,” said Palzewicz. “We need leaders with solutions for the future, not politicians who want to take us backwards.”

Tom and his wife Terri live in Brookfield, and have three adult children who attended public schools. The campaign can be found online at TOMforWI.com and on Facebook and Twitter at TOMforWI.
