Madison – Today the State Assembly will honor Jean Papalia of McFarland with a Hometown hero award for her incredible work fighting mental health issues and suicide prevention with the Madison Police Department and Safe Communities. Rep. Andersonreleased the following statement:
“I’m so thrilled to announce Jean Papalia as a Hometown Hero in the Assembly today. Her service as a police officer and her work supporting mental health in our community cannot be commended enough. Jean, like so many people in Dane County, work every day to give back and lift up our communities. Their amazing service often goes unnoticed and Jean is the best of the best. I want to thank the legislature for awarding Jean Papalia for her work as well as giving her an opportunity to share her amazing story with people all across the state.”
