Madison, Baraboo – Today, Rep. Considine issued the following statement in celebration of National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 8-12: “I am so grateful for all the amazing educators in my district and I’m very proud to represent them. They work hard every single day to serve our kids the best they can. This is especially impressive given the way our state has treated them in recent years, and the lack of funding they have to work with.
“I encourage everyone to reach out to a teacher they know – even if they’re retired – and show their appreciation and respect not just this week, but every week. Our local communities have so much power and ability to support teachers. Let your child’s teacher know how much you value their work, or ask how you can help them. They do so much for us and it’s time we support them too.”
