Bill to Increase Investment in Rural Broadband Released
MADISON – Representative James Edming (R-Glen Flora) issued the following statement regarding today’s Rural Wisconsin Initiative press conference.
“I was pleased to join my colleagues today for the announcement of the next phase in the Rural Wisconsin Initiative (RWI). I am happy that the first RWI bill this session is legislation to increase support for rural broadband expansion efforts.
“The need for reliable, high-speed internet access is one of the primary concerns I hear around the 87thAssembly District. The lack of high-speed internet access hurts economic growth, limits educational opportunities, and diminishes the quality of life. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues to address this need in our state.”
