Madison- Representative Mary Felzkowski (R-Irma) issued the following statement following Governor Walker’s 2017 State Budget Address:

“Over the last four years, I have worked tirelessly with my colleagues to make our government less burdensome, and work harder and more efficiently for all Wisconsin citizens. Through our responsible budget management and tough decisions, we are now in the positive position to reinvest in our core government responsibilities of education, transportation, and public health and safety.

“I am particularly encouraged to see such a strong focus on rural Wisconsin. The Governor’s recommendations prioritize aid to our rural schools, as well as a concentration on improving rural broadband. These issues are at the heart of making sure the state is providing opportunity for every child to succeed, regardless of location.

“I look forward to the next several months of work with stakeholders and my legislative colleagues on a final legislative budget that moves Wisconsin forward for all our state’s families.”

Representative Felzkowski represents the 35th Assembly District which includes communities in Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, and Shawano Counties.
