MADISON – On Wednesday, November 29th, Wisconsin State Rep. Evan Goyke (D – Milwaukee) will give a policy briefing to legislators, staff, and members of the public on the converging problems in Wisconsin’s correctional system-adult overcrowding and juvenile vacancies.

The presentation will include an analysis of the state of Wisconsin’s correctional system, an examination of reforms adopted in conservative states across the country, and a discussion of upcoming legislative solutions.

Following the presentation, three pieces of legislation will be introduced to stabilize Wisconsin’s prison population and close and repurpose Lincoln Hills.
