Madison – Today, Representative Gordon Hintz (D-Oshkosh) was elected leader of the Wisconsin Assembly Democratic Caucus. Rep. Hintz released the following statement:
“I first want to thank Rep. Peter Barca for his commitment to the Assembly Democrats and to the people of our state. For the last seven years, he led this caucus and dedicated his life to advocating for all Wisconsinites to support strong families in every community and to build an economy that works for everyone.
“I am humbled by the support I received from my colleagues today. As leader, I will dedicate myself to the work of representing the people of Wisconsin and fighting the often harmful policies and political decisions of Governor Walker and Republicans in the Legislature.
“Assembly Democrats have a tremendous opportunity to lead. With my colleagues’ support, we will tackle the challenges ahead and move forward as a unified caucus.
