MADISON – Representative Lisa Subeck (D-Madison), a Jewish member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, released the following statement in response to reports of anti-Semitic graffiti found at the Gates of Heaven Synagogue in Madison.

“This is especially disturbing that vandals chose to place anti-Semitic graffiti at the Gates of Heaven Synagogue on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, one of Judaism’s highest holy days.

I am confident that our city and law enforcement officials will dedicate the necessary resources to find the individuals responsible for the graffiti and hold them accountable for their actions.

Let us stand together as a community against hate and bigotry, and let the perpetrators know that anti-Semitism is not welcome here.”
