MADISON, WI – A resolution adopting of community-wide goal of 100% renewable energy goal is poised to be adopted by Madison’s city council on March 21st. 

What – Common Council Meeting and Vote

When – Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 beginning at 6:30 PM

Where – City County Building, Rm. 201

Who – Citizens can attend and register their support or give public comment. Alders will consider the resolution and are expected to cast a final vote.

Why – Madison aims to take charge of its energy future by adopting aggressive energy goals for community-wide and city operations. This will position the city to be a leader in clean energy efforts that will help the business community and help address global climate change.

How – The resolution adopts goals of 100% renewable energy and also authorizes up to $250,000 for a consultant to help develop a plan over the next year for city operations to meet this goal.
