Washington, D.C. – The Republican Lieutenant Governors Association (RLGA), part of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), today announced the full 2017 Executive Committee. The committee is made up of lieutenant governors from across the U.S. and they will work closely with the previously announced RLGA leadership team of Nevada Lt. Gov. Mark Hutchison, Chairman; North Carolina Lt. Gov. Dan Forest, Vice-Chairman; Florida Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, Co-Chair for Policy; and Indiana Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, Co-Chair for Finance.

The 2017 Executive Committee is made up of Arkansas Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin, Kansas Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer, Louisiana Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser, Missouri Lt. Gov. Mike Parson, Mississippi Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves, Oklahoma Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb, Tennessee Lt. Gov. Randy McNally, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.

RLGA Chairman Mark Hutchison said: “The RLGA is having a fantastic year, with Republicans currently holding 31 of the 45 lieutenant governor offices nationwide. Coming off of a successful 2017 Annual Conference, we are confident that our new executive committee is a strong group of leaders who will continue to spread our message and conservative ideals while working tirelessly to get more Republican lieutenant governors in office.”

The RLGA has played a critical role in expanding Republican control of lieutenant governor offices nationwide. This year, five Republican lieutenant governors have gone on to assume the role of governor, including Alabama’s Kay Ivey, Indiana’s Eric Holcomb, Iowa’s Kim Reynolds, South Carolina’s Henry McMaster and Vermont’s Phil Scott. The RLGA has already begun investing in the next election cycle, announcing a $25,000 contribution to Jill Vogel’s campaign for Virginia’s lieutenant governor.

Mission

The Republican Lieutenant Governors Association (RLGA) is the only national organization committed exclusively to raising resources and assisting Republicans in their campaigns for lieutenant governor. The RLGA – a caucus within the Republican State Leadership Committee – provides lieutenant governors and candidates with financial support and assists with strategic campaign advice. Across the nation, Republican lieutenant governors perform critical tasks that include presiding over legislative chambers, overseeing small business recruitment, heading economic development, administering fair elections, maintaining homeland security and leading disaster recovery. Nevada Lt. Gov. Mark Hutchison serves as the RLGA’s Chair, with North Carolina’s Lt. Gov. Dan Forest as Vice-Chair.
