House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Janesville, collected $3.4 million for his personal campaign account during the second quarter of the year, pushing his cash on hand to $11.15 million, according to an aide.
Ryan’s personal campaign account is just one piece of his fundraising effort. He collected $271,585 in contributions directly to Ryan for Congress, while his overall operation, dubbed Team Ryan, directed more than $3.1 million to the fund.
His personal campaign account spent $402,298 as he added just shy of $2 million to his war chest compared to the end of April.
The aide said Ryan for Congress has already sent the maximum contribution of $4,000 to fellow Wisconsin House Republicans Sean Duffy, of Weston; Mike Gallagher, of Green Bay; Glenn Grothman, of Glenbeulah; and Jim Sensenbrenner, of Menomonee Falls.
His leadership PAC also has contributed $5,000 each to Duffy, Gallagher and Sensenbrenner and $10,000 to Grothman, according to the aide.
