Madison, Wis. – Today, Senator David Craig (R-Town of Vernon), released the following statement on Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) Secretary, Lon Roberts, being appointed to the Public Service Commission (PSC.
“DFI has been in good hands under Lon’s tenure as Secretary. The PSC is gaining a valuable asset. I am confident Lon’s knowledge and expertise will benefit ratepayers and taxpayers around the state and balance the interests of the regulated community.
DFI Deputy Secretary, Jay Risch, has been appointment to fill the position of Secretary.
“I have worked closely with Jay in his role as Deputy Secretary, and I know he is more than equal to the task of guiding this important agency and overseeing the Financial Institutions industry in the state. I look forward to continuing our efforts to reform government with Jay as Secretary while ensuring the safety and soundness of our financial institutions.”
Senator Craig is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Financial Services, Constitution & Federalism. He represents the 28th Senate District which is comprised of portions of Waukesha, Walworth, Racine, and Milwaukee Counties.
