Madison – On Tuesday, the Wisconsin State Senate approved an incentive package for Foxconn. State Senator Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) issued the following statement.
“This is an important step for the future of Wisconsin and our economy. Foxconn will be a transformational $10 billion investment, bringing next generation manufacturing and 13,000 high-tech, family-supporting jobs to our state.
The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce says Foxconn will add $78 Billion to our state’s GDP over the 15-year term of the package. There isn’t a state in the nation that wouldn’t want to be in our shoes right now.
The bill we passed today will protect taxpayers and the environment. It makes sure Foxconn follows through with their investment and makes sure they follow every regulation on our books. This is a game changer for our state. “
Senator Darling represents portions of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha Counties.
