State Senator Dan Feyen (R-Fond du Lac) said he’s eager to get to work on the governor’s proposed 2017-19 budget.
“The governor’s budget is a great starting point, and now it’s time for us in the legislature to take a look at it, and I’m eager to get started and to take a deeper dive into the budget and do what I can do to address my priorities.” Feyen said. “ I want to ensure we have adequate funding for our schools; that we address closing the skills gap, and I’m committed to finding a permanent solution to our transportation fund. “
Governor Walker unveiled his 2017-19 proposed budget during a Joint Session of the Ligature Wednesday afternoon. The budget now heads to the Legislature’s Joint Finance Committee where the legislature begins a long budget process of dissecting and improving the proposed budget.
“Now that we are officially working on the state’s budget, I look forward to hearing more from my constituents and their thoughts about the budget. I want the budget process to open and transparent, with as much constituent feedback as possible, said Feyen.”
