MADISON – On Tuesday, State Senator Frank Lasee (R-De Pere), issued the following statement about Governor Walker’s announcement that the capitol budget will contain $5 million in state funding for the Brown County Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Innovation Center:

“The Brown County STEM Innovation Center will bring together professors, teachers, researchers and business leaders from all over Northeastern Wisconsin with the shared goals of creating a place to foster students’ interests in science and help create and support high-tech careers and businesses.  The potential for this center is endless.

Thank you Governor Walker for prioritizing the Brown County STEM Innovation Center and investing in technical education and the residents of the Northeastern Wisconsin.” Lasee said. “This investment is good for our region and our state.”
