Nass: Governor Walker proposed tuition cut; he is no Bernie Sanders, Mr. Nygren.
Senator Steve Nass (R-Whitewater), Vice-Chairman of the Senate Universities and Technical Colleges Committee, responded to Tweets from JFC Co-Chair John Nygren (R-Marinette) accusing him and anyone that supports the 5% tuition cut as being “Bernie Sanders-esque”.
“Governor Walker proposed the 5% UW System tuition cut and he is no Bernie Sanders. I am proud to stand with the middle class families of this state and our great Governor. Wanting to raise taxes, like the gas tax, is a hell-of-a lot-closer to being Bernie Sanders,” Nass said.
